It's A Party In The USA - Day Two

Sunday, July 3, 2011
We all woke up early Sunday morning and went to church with my mom and then we went to her house for lunch. After lunch we all headed back to our house for a little craziness. As you can see above, Farrah gave all my girls a piggy back ride. At the same time. Below is Bart looking down at his wife with 3 kids on her back thinking, "She really is crazy!"

See. She had all the kids dancing around the kitchen.
And dancing.....

Kristy's kids, who had been at their other grandparents house, came back to join the fun. We decided to take a picture of all the kids together but we couldn't get Zac out of bed. I believe he is officially a teenager now because he is always sleeping.

We finally got Zac up to join us but he was none too happy about it
This was not an easy group to photograph

Bart and Farrah looking at our scrapbook of our family's epic 17 day trip last December to Missouri and Texas

Addy, Baron and Owen playing/losing all the pieces to the Life gameTeresa, Farrah and I pulled out all the red, white and blue nail polish we could find and got all the girls decorated for the big day that was to follow.

Sam couldn't walk anywhere without Baron and Owen attached

There may have been a little Nerf gun war going on. Our house lends itself excellently to Nerf wars. This was not our first battle and I'm sure it won't be our last.

Kristy's boys Baron and Owen. Isn't this the most adorable picture. Mr. Baron is ALWAYS smiling. Always.

That afternoon my dad's mom, Granny Snow, flew in from Seattle. Late that night Kristy flew back from Virginia. Need to catch up? Click below:

Oops! I forgot! Also on this day Farrah (who is the mother to 2 boys) had so much fun doing all her nieces hair in fancy nancy hairstyles. They girls enjoyed the attention from her. Especially my girls who have a non hair styling mother.

Flashback Friday - Aunt Farm

Flashback: Halloween Sometime In The Mid 70's

Last night my Aunt Cynthia and her husband Asa, their son David and their grandson Brayden were in town. They came to our house for dinner and a visit. It was good to see them. The kids were being ultra hyper inside so we thought we were so smart in sending them outside to play.

They had fun for a while riding bikes, but I guess they got bored with that. The discovered a retaining pond thingy next to our house
They came out a muddy mess (my new camera is a piece of poo, in case you couldn't tell)

We decided Owen looked like he was auditioning for a Shout commercial
On a side note, I'm just wondering if there are any other bloggers out there who are having problems with editing on blogger? It's gettin' on my last nerve and my posts look like poo. Did I already say poo once before in this same post? Hello! Blogger! You need to get someone to write some new programming for you!

Oh, and I almost forgot! I promised my Aunt that I would put in this post that she was hiking Mt. Timpanogos right before she came to our house and the dinner invite was a last minute thing. She said she almost stopped at Kohls to buy a shirt on her way but she was afraid she would have a hard time finding her way back to the freeway. I think she looked great!

It's A Party In The USA - Day One Do Over

Yesterday I did a post of our first day with all my family visiting. I posted pictures I had taken with my camera. I had just bought that camera the day before everyone came. My old camera was having major malfunction issues and I wanted to have an operating camera when everyone was here. I did not make a good choice in cameras and am planning on taking that camera back, so my pictures from last week are not so hot. I downloaded the pictures my sister Farrah took with her camera on to a zip drive (? is that what they are called?). Steve had it with him at work yesterday when I did my post so I did not have access to those pictures. I got the drive from him this morning and looked at the pictures. They are about a thousand times better than my pictures (probably because her camera costs a thousand times more than mine) and because she is a thousand times the photographer than yours truly. So I just had to post some of her pictures from the first day. Here they are. If you missed the post yesterday and are just dying for the background info, click here.

It's A Party In The USA - Day One

Saturday, July 2, 2011

My whole family was here visiting last week. We had a blast being together. It is the first time we have all been together in a long time. A few weeks ago my sister Kristy and her 3 kids flew in from Moscow Russia, where they have been living the past 2 years. They are moving back to the states and are spending some time with us in Utah before moving to Virginia. They were at our house for only a few days before Kristy flew out to VA for a week to look for a house and her in laws came to pick up her kids to stay with them for a week. They all came back on July 3rd. That same day my Granny Snow flew in from Tacoma. On July 2nd my sister Farrah and her husband Bart and their 2 boys, along with my brother Sam and his wife Teresa, arrived from Dallas to spend the week.

They got in late Saturday afternoon (all of them were sporting their Dallas Mavs Championship shirts). We met them at my mothers house where we had dinner and then we all went for a little hike up the canyon.

Addy and Matthew. These cousins are only a month apart in age.

The kids (and the adults) had so much fun playing in the water

Just pulling into our driveway. It was a fight every time we went somewhere to see who was going to ride with Sam and Teresa in their Jeep.

One of our neighbors put on an AMAZING firework show. It lasted for over an hour and it was better than any city firework display I have seen. We all got out chairs and sat in our driveway to watch. While we were waiting for the show to start, the kids caught a bunch of these cute little frogs.

My mom, Lauren and Farrah waiting for the fireworks to start

Sam entertaining us with his hula hoop skills. There were some of us who even entered into hula hooping contests that night. Teresa, you know who won! Girl! I'll take you down any day!
