Monday Morning Musings

Woo Hoo!!! First day of school has come at last!

Since when did my son have a fashion opinion.

Since when were shirts with any type of collar or buttons considered "DORK" shirts?

I guess I get to go school shopping for Zac all over again. Either that or convince him that "dork" is the new black.

My sister was sad and crying when she sent her son to school today. Should I feel guilty about the little happy dance I did?

I have had a headache since Wednesday. It is getting rather annoying.

I would KILL for some Tex-Mex right now. Too bad there isn't a good restaurant for oh, 1,200 miles or so from here.

I get to go to the store today and only take 2 kids with me!

I could take a nap today if I wanted to.

I just looked at the clock. I only have 2 hours left before I have to pick up the kids. Today went by REALLY FAST. Apparently I can only do one - take a nap or go to the store with 2 kids.

Ally, Gabe will not wear collar or button down shirts any more either. It is so weird because he doesn't normally care what he wears but he refuses to wear those now.

I only cried because it was his FIRST day of school ever. I am sure you cried when Zac first went to school!

My boys will only wear button down shirts if they have a tshirt under them, then they leave them unbuttoned...

Actually I didn't cry his first day. He started school on his 6th birthday because he missed the cut off by 2 days. I think if he had started when he was just turning 5 I would have cried. By the time he turned 6 I was very ready for him to start.

Farrah, I cried when Priscila went to her first day of school and almost cried yesterday when Brandon started. Really it was because his teacher gave us a ziplock bag that had a poem on it. Inside the bag was a tissue, tea, and a cotton ball. It said something about the cotton ball being my child's soft spirit and entrusting it to her. Then the tissue was to wipe my tears. The tea was for me to relax and pour a cup and know that she was going to do everything possible to help them through this new bright world. Aren't you crying just reading this? I was.
