We had a fabulous time on our vacation. We met all of Steve's family in Tennessee in the beautiful Smokey Mountains. We stayed in the most awesome of cabins. It had just about everything (except a pot big enough to cook spaghetti in for 27 people).
A playground
We ate at Bubba Gumps and had fun playing movie trivia
Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. There's, um, shrimp kebabs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich...
They rode "The Tail Of The Dragon"
which has 318 curves in 11 miles.
I don't have any pictures from that day, but this was when he went to take the bike back.
I'm not kidding. It lasted all day. The kids had been having a water fight for several hours when my sister-in-law Sheila and I decided to ambush the kids (I'm' on the left with the gun, she's on the right with the gun). After the adults joined the fight it lasted for another couple of hours. It was the most fun. And when we were done everything was wet, inside and out.
It then turned into "Dare or Dare".
The poor people playing the game and watching the movie were our innocent victims. And some of the sleeping people too. The kids all thought it was awesome to wake up with smiley faces drawn on their hands. Good tip to keep in mind: Never sneak up on a war vet while he is sleeping.
In case that wasn't enough pictures for you, you can view more here. And if you're really, really bored or trying to find a way to waste your time, you can check out this blog set up for everyone to share their pictures and videos from the trip. There isn't anything there yet, but there will be soon.

That looks like so much fun!! Seriously-vacations never go that smoothly, but that looked like the perfect place to have a little of everything! Glad you guys had a good time!
Looks like so fun. My husband has a really cool family reunion every year. The girls and I missed it this year because we were melting in MO. Looks like everyone had a great time.
Awesome! I am going to have to let my in-laws know about that place and see if we all can go next year!
That looks like a lot of fun! Give us the link to the place you stayed.
That picture of Aubrey and the frog is priceless!
It was very much fun.
Ashley, where in MO did you go? My husbands is from St. Charles which is near St. Louis.
Kathy and Farrah, I very much recommend this cabin. It has everything you need to entertain everyone without even leaving the cabin. If you click on the blue cabin word at the beginning of this post it gives you a link to it.
And Aubery is still VERY upset about the frog. She is trying to guilt me into getting her a pet.
Allyson, my parents live in Springfield. It is jut north of Branson. I know where St. Charles is. We go to St. Louis a bunch.
