Our Day Of Thanks Giving

I've decided that Thanksgiving should not be a compound word. It should be a day of giving thanks for all we have been blessed with. And to make it into two words: Thanks Giving, seems so much more meaningful to me. My family and I have been blessed in so many ways and I am thankful for the time we had to pause last week and think of all that the Lord has blessed us with. Our gratitude and thanks giving don't even compare to his love for us. My kids loved writing in our Gratitude Journal. I think it was a great experience for them to take a few minutes each day and reflect on the hundreds of small things that blessed their lives that day and be thankful for them.

As you can see from the above picture, my turkey I was so worried about turned out just dandy. I was nervous because I had never brined a turkey (or anything else) before. But from here on out, I will and forever more be a brinin' fool. We were blessed to be able to have friends and family join us for Thanks Giving. Here's the proof:
