Christmas In Full Swing

Christmas is in full swing around here.  We had family in town for Thanksgiving and we had so much fun with them.  The last of them left for home last Saturday.  The girls and I immediately started decorating for Christmas.  And last Sunday our Elf Trixi returned to our home to keep an eye on us this Christmas season.  Addy was so excited to see her again.  She sat and stared at her like this for a long time.  Then it was time for us to leave for church and Addy left some crayons and paper next to Trixi so she wouldn't get bored while we were gone.

The first day Trixi came back she left us this note.  In it she encourages us to have the true spirit of Christmas in our house this year and challenged us to accomplish that by "Doing a good turn daily".  Every day when she comes back from reporting to the North Pole she leaves a suggestion of something we can do that day.

Steve had to leave the day after Thanksgiving to go out of town for work.  That weekend the girls and I got all the Christmas decorations up but we left the tree for Monday night when he returned home.

The girls pretty much did all the decorating while we watched.  I hadn't seen this guy in 4 days and was enjoying being by his side.

My goal for today: Put away all the Thanksgiving decorations.  We were so excited to put up Christmas we didn't bother to evict the previous holidays decor.  So now we have a little holiday confusion going on in our house.
