Valentine's Day

Our Valentine celebrations started the day before Valentine's Day.  The girls were out of school on Valentine's Day so they celebrated at school on Thursday.  That was also "Ancient Egypt Day" for the first graders.  That morning we got Addy all ready to walk like an Egyptian.  She made the wig at school a few days before. The night before Aubrey and I worked on constructing her Valentine box.  We also put a little love into her hairstyle.

I helped Addy's teacher with Ancient Egypt Day.  It was a lot of fun.

And then I was able to eat lunch with my favorite Egyptian.

After lunch, I headed over to Aubrey's class to help with her Valentine's party.  Note the scarf she is wearing.  She taught herself how to make it and has been making scarves like crazy.

The girls got out early that day, so after school was over, Emily and I headed over to the Temple to show our ancestors a little love.  Emily was able to be baptized for 8 (well actually 7- it's a long crazy story)(but the work did get done for 8) of her ancestors.  What does that mean?  Click here to find out more.  On our way home we stopped by our favorite drink shop.  We have some good friends who just opened up Fiiz Drinks.  Emily had the Rubber Ducky.

Last night we celebrated Valentine's Day with those we love the most.  All the kids helped make dinner.  My mom and Lauren came over and we had a lovely time together.  Steve and I had grand plans for going out that evening but we are old and tired and opted for watching a movie at home instead.  It was the loveliest of days!
