Last Weekend: A Jaunt to the Park and to Logan

We had a fun weekend.  Steve was out of town last week, but made it back in time to enjoy the weekend with us.  On Saturday we slept in and it was lovely, since we had children in school last week and I had to go back to waking up to an alarm.  It was an absolutely beautiful day so we decided to go picnicking in the park.  My mom and sister Lauren joined us.  It was a little chilly outside and thankfully we had blankets in the back of the van.  We had so much fun munching on pizza and cupcakes, playing games, running around the park and just being together.

Addy was pouting because no one would play pirate with her.  Zac gave her a ride on the Z train and then he was nice enough to be the bad pirate in her game.

The life of a bad pirate is very tiring.

On Sunday, we went to most of our wards Sacrament meeting to hear my friend April speak.  As soon as her talk was over we snuck out and headed for Logan.  Zac had a friend who was leaving on a mission and we went for her farewell.  While he was eating yummyness at her post sacrament meeting shindig, we were at a nearby park eating our lunches we packed at home wishing we were eating the same yummyness as Zac.  We hung out at the park for about an hour while Zac hung out with his friends he worked with at the Scout Camp he worked at a few summers ago.

After we picked Zac up, we went to the Logan Temple and walked around the beautiful grounds.

One person was too stuffed to walk and the other was too hungry to walk.  They passed out on the grass.

We came around the corner and spotted the most beautiful blue flowers.  We were trying to figure out how they came to be such a lovely hue.  Steve made a joke that they were spray painted.

Upon closer inspection we found out that his joke turned out to not be a joke.  They really were spray painted.

Addy had to make sure to touch the temple.

I asked a lady that was with her family nearby to take this picture of our family.  It turns out she was a friend of our family's from Texas.  Small world!

After strolling around the temple grounds it was getting pretty late.  We began our journey home so we could get ready for Zac and Emily's first day of school the next day and Aubrey and Addy's second week of school.  I am so thankful for my beautiful family that my Heavenly Father has given me.  We always have so much fun together and I can't imagine my life-or my eternity-without them.

Families can be together forever.  Click here to find out more!
