Happy Anniversary Baby, Got You On My Mind

That picture above was taken 18 years ago today in Dallas Texas.  A lot has happened since then.  I realized the other day that I have been with Steve longer than I have been without Steve.  Our two lives truly have become one in every way.  I grow to love him more and more each day.  I love the way his strengths fill in my weaknesses and make me a better person.  I knew him for less than a week before I said I would be his bride, and I have never doubted or questioned that decision.  In fact, I can honestly say it was the best decision I have ever made.  I love you babe!  Happy Anniversary!

Happy Birthday Lisa

Last week my Sister-in-Law Lisa had a Birthday.  I am over a week late, but I have been thinking about you every day since then.  Happy Late Birthday Lisa!

Can't Touch This

A new store just opened up near us.  H&M.  Whatever the heck kinda store that is, it has everyone and their momma all in a tizzy around these here parts.  Including some of my children, not including their momma.  So Emily went with her friend the other day and told Aubrey all about it.  So now Aubrey is dying for the opportunity to grace that magical place with her presence.  And every day that goes by that her face is not in the place makes me more and more of a horrible mother.  Since her evil step mother (yours truly) wouldn't take her last night even though we were right by it, she did the next best thing.  She visited H&M via the internet.  She got all excited to show me these pants they have that she has been wanting.  I made my way over to the computer and about fell down when I saw the pants she wanted.

Who in their right mind thought that bringing such a thing back was a good idea?

Mother's Day 2013

Mother's Day 2013 turned out to be a rather fabulous day.  It started off with my children making me a lovely breakfast and showering me with an array of wonderful gifts.  We went to church in the morning.  After church we had an impromptu secret society meeting where we made all sorts of fabulous plans.  

During our meeting, Steve had a whole gaggle of kids at our house.

 That afternoon my mom and sister Lauren came over.

While Steve and Zac made dinner we watched home movies from our trip to Dallas for my brother's wedding in 2010.

 Steve and Zac made a most fabulous dinner.

Steve surprised my mom and me with some beautiful roses.

That evening I made my family go for a walk with me on one of our favorite trails.

My Hobbit son who refuses to wear shoes.  And look!  He found a tree to live in.

It was a fabulous ending to a fabulous day!

Wednesday was my Sister Kristy's Birthday.

The first song that I used in the video reminds me of Kristy every time I hear it.  About 20 years ago she was learning to play that song on her flute for High School band.  She would play it in her frog room every night and I may or may not have danced and sang along.  Every night.
