How sad is it that my current favorite song is "
Get On The Bus" by the Doodlebops??? I seriously can't stop singing that song. It is even getting on Aubrey's nerves. She started crying yesterday and said, "Mommy PLEASE stop singing that song." Sad when your 4 year old has to ask you to stop singing a song from her favorite TV show. I don't know what my problem is. I really like Bus Driver Bob for some strange, and slightly disturbing reason.

Ally-you and i have the same problem-well except I don't have a thing for bob. but that song just sticks in your head. we are going to their concert next week-i am excited.
I am glad it isn't just me. Tia must be so excited. Aubrey will be so jealous. Do Do Do Do...
Oh, and BTW (that means by the way, Kristy) I didn't say I had a THING for Bob. I just think he's fly. I am laughing at myself for using that word.
I am soooo glad Gabe can't stand the Doodle Bops. I am sure I would be singing them too, but no "stupid baby songs" here. Only the stupid songs I make up. Bart can't stand those.
Ok, so I have a question. Why do we all sing and make up songs? Where did that come from? I don't remember mom and dad singing and making up songs when we were growing up. But I seriously can't talk to my kids without singing what I am saying. It drives them crazy and to be quite honest it sometimes drives me crazy. But I can't help it. Like last night I went downstairs to tell the girls to turn the TV off and get ready for bed so naturally I am singing, "you gotta turn, turn the TV off, you gotta turn the TV off. You gotta turn turn the TV off you gotta turn that TV off. You gotta get get get up in bed you gotta get get get up in bed you gotta get get get up in bed you gotta get in bed I said." And AUbrey is yelling, "MOM STOP SINGING!!!" And Emily is moaning "errr...why do you always have to sing everything?!" But the funny thing is that just a few minutes ago Emily was in the kitchen sneaking candy and I sang "you better put that candy away, right now today, put it away, that's what I say" and she sings back, "but I want some now, oh yes I do". And I started laughing and singing "you are singing your words just like your mother, you are singing your words just like no other." Do you see how annoying that is? Where does it come from and why do we all do it?
I am not sure where it comes from, maybe our lack of musical talent causes us to overcompensate in areas that we are comfortable in. Like being stupid?
I remember mom always singing Good Morning songs to try to get me out of bed. I think she made up some words. She is always singing and it gets on Lauren's nerves.
