I told my kids I wasn't buying any costumes for Halloween this year and they would have to make due with what we had in the Halloween box. They came up with costumes, but they did it going by memory of what was in the box. When I actually pulled the box out, about an hour before we went Trick or Treating, they changed their minds about what they wanted to be. Here's how we ended up:
Addy the Cute Little Doggie

Aubrey The Vampire for the second year in a row.
She was going to be a Vampire Cheerleader so she didn't end up too far off.

Emily The Rocker Chick

Zac and his friend Gus the Army Guys.

Very cute! We borrowed costumes this year. All I had to buy was ruby slippers. Love all the costumes.
Great idea to use what you already have! We kind of did the same. Who wants to spend $40 on a costume? Chase wore Hailey's cow costume that she wore when she was two months old. Needless to say, his chubby legs were spilling out the bottom. Hailey's outfit is from the DI and mine is borrowed from my sister-in-law.
Your kids are so so cute. I love Addy in the dog costume. She has spunk. Your girls look so grown up and pretty and of course zac always looks too grown up for me because I still remember him so well as a baby.
Oh why is this maing me sad-them all growing up...? They are just halloween pictures.
What I think is weird is that I just wore my regular everyday clothes , some jewelry, and everyday makeup. I miss you aunt Kristy. Tell everyone I love them and miss them. You need to visit us. Oh and aunt Farrah we want to visit you next year because we wached Oprah when she was at the state fair and my mom started saying she missed Texas, and she wanted to go to the fair next year and see you.
I miss you too emily.
I think Addison is cute in the dog picture ,with her lip like that.
