Shining Happy People Holding Hands

I have been out of town for the past 4 days. We just got home not long ago. I have been wanting to do this all weekend, unfortunately I was not near a computer. That's a lie. Fortunately I was not near a computer (it was nice to have a break from real life).

I am not a confrontational person. I don't like to argue. I don't like to fight. I like everyone to just get along. I am usually the peacemaker. I don't like what happened last week with my Thinkin' Thursday. Every time I think about it, it make me feel sick.

I don't know who anonymous was. I don't even know that all the anonymous comments were from the same person. On average I have 80-100 different people every week read my blog. It could have been anyone of you. I don't know who you all are but I am sure that most of you are people that I know and care about and love.

I have had a lot of time to think it over the last few days. I have decided that it is time to give my Thinkin' Thursday weekly post a rest. I am not retiring it completely. I might bust one out every once in a while. But when I do they will be much less controversial. I want my blog to be a happy place where everyone gets along.

So I am sorry. I am sorry anonymous, whoever you are. I hope you will forgive me. And everyone else who had to listen to the unfriendliness that took place here in my little corner of the internet, I apologize to you too.

All you need is love, da da dan na da. All you need is love, da da dan na da. All you need is love, love. Love is all you need. Love is all you need. Love is all you need. Love is all you need........love is all you need........

And because I just came up with the title for my post and now this song is going through my head:

Ahh, that's really too bad. I really looked forward to your Thinkin' Thursdays. I understand if butt comments ruined a good thing for you though. You could always take off your anonymous option an let people who want to comment have the nards to put there name next to it.

That is so weird that someone posted anonymous and said such rude things. I guess it probably means your blog is getting a wide readership. I don't think anyone who knows you would post anything like that, especially if they knew you in person. That is what draws me to your blog. You think, "that Allyson is so sweet and soft and gentle" and then you you read the blog and a whole new Allyson comes out. I have to say I love your ranting! Please don't stop. You make me laugh so much. I love it!

I am sorry that you had some crazy person (who was not me by the way- I think you already know that) sabotage your Thinkin' Thursday. Do you think it was really someone you know?

I like Alicia's idea. Just take off the anonymous part. That person would have never said those things if they had to post their name!

I understand though. You do tend to post controversial subjects which can bring out the worst in people (that might have happened to me a couple of times), :)

Farrah you keep saying it's not you, I don't know how you are trying to convince!

Allyson, Don't let someone else ruin it for you.

I know exactly what you mean. I posted a few political and controversial posts and the comments just turned nasty. Though I want to express my opinions and post what I want to post on my own blog, I hate the ramifications of nasty comment debates. So for now no controversial stuff for me.

Well look how vocal everyone is TA-DAY!

I think you are missing the point though. I don't want you to make anonymous feel bad. I'm not mad at them. I don't want anyone to feel bad. That's my whole point. I don't like bad feelings. I like good happy feelings. That's why I decided not to do my TT. Because it produces bad feelings. And it has nothing to do with anonymous, so don't blame them.

I don't want to take off the anonymous comment option. Some of my favorite past comments were anonymous.....and I am very thankful I have those to go back and read today......

Sigh.....I didn't think anyone liked the TT because no one said anything except the people who adamantly disagreed with me.

I did have 2 good ones I was going to do last week......I could do them this week......but....I know. We could put it to a vote?

BTW, I can't stop singing "Shining Happy People".

PEOPLE.....HAPPY PEOPLE....

Ally- I don't think politics and good happy feelings can coexist. It is not possible. Just like honesty and politics doesn't mingle.

So if you want good happy feelings on your blog then you are probably right about not doing the TT.

Personally I like them and think you should continue, but be prepared for ugliness. It is inevitable.
