Snow in Utah: Thanksgiving 2013, Day 8

Friday, November 29, 2013

This was the day the Maldonado's had to leave to return home to Texas.  We all had Thanksgiving leftovers for lunch and hung out for a bit.

After lunch we headed over to my mom's house.
We took a moment to capture a few choice memories on camera.

My mom with all her grandchildren except Kristy's 3 kids.

Cute Babies!

These kids raked up grandmas leaves for her.

The next time I see this little guy, he probably won't be a baby any more!

Our final goodbyes before the Maldo's left.

Sam and Zac got busy putting up Grandmas Christmas lights.  Apparently we were having fabulous weather for the day after Thanksgiving.  I'd love some of that again.

Teresa and the girls and I set up grandma's tree and decorated it.

We kept trying to take a picture of Alaina with this Santa hat on.  She absolutely did not like it and would not leave it on her head for more than a second.  We were finally able to snap a picture while her mom held her arms down.

There are only 10 years between this Uncle and Nephew.

Sam fixing the lights we couldn't get to work, and Zac saying goodbye to Alaina.

We left my mom's house that night knowing that the next morning the Snow's would be on a plane on their way back to Ohio.  We had so much fun being together for Thanksgiving with all of our family.  We terribly missed my sister Kristy and her family who were not able to make make the journey from Virginia.  And we also missed my dad, but we know that his Spirit was present with us.  It was a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
