On Friday the Dulaney's had been in Illinois visiting Amanda, so we didn't get to see them the day we got in. Our boys had plans with the Dulaney boys (and Samantha and Dakota) the next day. The boys got loaded up and headed out for their manly man excursion.
Lisa, Amanda (who was able to come from Illinois for a few days) and Meagan headed over to spend the day with the girls. Emily was still asleep when they arrived so Meagan went in to wake her up.
We spent the morning hanging out at the house.
Then Sierra took all the kids out to Dairy Queen for Blizzards.
The ladies went shopping for food stuffs at Walmart. Look who showed up there:
Back at the house:
The socks I bought Addy at Walmart got put to good use:
I made taco salad for dinner and the Missionaries came over.
The teenagers got ready for the Tri-Stake Dance that was that night.
Spencer donned his light up tie for the occasion.
The men folk made it back
I "mustache" you a question, but I'll "shave" it for later!
Emily (who was a few months shy of being old enough to officially attend a stake dance-shhhh! Don't tell anyone!) and Asher got some pointers before their first Stake Dance.
What a GOOD LOOKING group of kids about to head out the door for the dance. Stake Dances in Utah are not at all (not even a little bit close) what they are outside of Utah. Steve and I were so excited for our kids to be able to experience something that was a major fundamental part of our youth. As you can see from the look on Zac's face, he was totally thrilled. We tried parental force to get him out the door, but in the end he won and ended up staying home with his cousin Josh who was also boycotting the dance.
As soon as we got the kids out the door and on their way to the dance, the ladies left the men at home with the young ones and the boycotters and went out for a girls night.
