Thinkin' Thursday - Sit Right Down On Your FannieMae And Have A Listen

Wow! It has been over a week since I blogged. I have been a very bad, bad blogger. Sorry.

OK, it's like this. I wasn't sure I wanted to continue to be all political with my Thinkin' Thursdays. I am just so sick and tired of it all. I really am. But then I went to church and this letter from the First Presidency of my church was read:

As citizens we have the privilege and duty of electing office holders and influencing public policy. Participation in the political process affects our communities and nation today and in the future.

Latter-day Saints as citizens are to seek out and then uphold leaders who will act with integrity and are wise, good, and honest. Principles compatible with the gospel may be found in various political parties. (emphasis added)

Therefore, in this election year, we urge you to register to vote, to study the issues and candidates carefully and prayerfully, and then to vote for and actively support those you believe will most nearly carry out your ideas of good government.

The Church affirms its neutrality regarding political parties, platforms, and candidates. The Church also affirms its constitutional right of expression on political and social issues.

Sincerely yours,
Thomas S. Monson,
Henry B. Eyring, Dieter F. Uchtdorf The First Presidency

So I decided to actively support those I believe will most nearly carry out my ideas of good government.

Right now, I'm real tired. I said it like this "I'm reeel TY-rd" with a thick accent. That's how I say it when I'm really really tired. So to be quick about it, I am just posting this video. Then I am going to bed. For more info about the political neutrality of my church clickity click click right here. I said that like this, "rawt hare". That also means I am TY-rd. I really should just shut up and go now. Enjoy the film!

For one that complains often about the biased media, I love how almost all your political coverage is from one of the most blatantly biased news sources out there.

I am not trying to be mean here, but honestly wonder is this the only place you get your news from? What newspapers do you read and what other stations do you watch? If this is the only place you go, no wonder you feel the way you do.

What does where I get my news have to do with any of the facts portrayed in this segment?

And I said I was TY-rd so I was just posting the video. If I had just made my own post and written out those facts, what difference would that have made except that I would have been even more TY-rd.

And what other coverage have I posted from Fox News?

And I love you and hope you have a great day!

It has everything to do with it. It is only portraying ONE side of the facts. I am not saying the facts aren't true, they are just giving you one side. This is biased media coverage.

You appear (and I say appear because I am only going off what you put on your blog) to only be getting your news from right winged sources- not only fox but some of the other blogs you have quoted on your here. I am just saying it isn't hard to see why you feel the way you do.

And wow, you automatically got defensive with my news source question. Kind of reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyoafptEm5c

ha ha. Just kidding, but to answer your question.

I am quoting you from an April 25th post here: "We are Fox News Channel types around our house."

Other videos from Fox that I had time to find:

And I do love you too, but wish we lived closer so we could debate this in person.

We are Fox News types and that is because I have this urge to throw something at and break my TV when I watch other news sources, MSNBC to name one. Steve would get really mad if I did that.

And I don't think I was getting defensive, I was just saying....

I can't hear the video you posted because I have no speakers on my computer. Yes it is really annoying. I can't find mine. I did miss this interview.

Here is one of my favorite videos showing good quality unbiased journalism:

Hee, hee, hee. I posted that whole long comment, took a phone call in the middle of it, and went back to the tab I had opened to find that video and he is still ranting. Man I wish I had speakers so I could hear it.

After everything I have read & studied I am voting for McCain/Palin. I am not sure how Obama supporters can close their eyes to what is really going on.

That is just my opinion. Which I am entitled to. I am not looking for a debate. I actually hate them.

I'm never having a political debate with you two!

The media doesn't have to be biased when it comes straight from her mouth:

In an interview aired Tuesday on "The CBS Evening News," anchor Katie Couric asked Palin what publications she had read to stay informed and to understand the world.

"I've read most of them, again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media," Palin replied. Asked for examples, she said, "Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me all these years."

When asked if there is a Supreme Court case she disagrees with:
"Well, let's see. There's –of course –in the great history of American rulings there have been rulings, that's never going to be absolute consensus by every American," Palin said. "And there are–those issues, again, like Roe v Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So you know–going through the history of America, there would be others but–"

"Can you think of any?" Couric interjected.

"Well, I could think of–of any again, that could be best dealt with on a more local level, maybe I would take issue with," Palin responded. "But you know, as mayor, and then as governor and even as a vice president, if I'm so privileged to serve, wouldn't be in a position of changing those things but in supporting the law of the land as it reads today."

good debate. I like how you 2 always make sure that they other knows you love them. Cause sometimes, it gets a little nasty! But Farrah, I really don't think that Fox news is as right wing as you think it is. I watch Hannity and Colmes. Hannity does get on my nervous because he is too right wing. But on the other hand, Colmes is pretty far left.

Also, Hilary Clinton said that Fox News had the most fair coverage reguarding her. It may be a little to the right, but that is because the most other stations are so far to the left. Pedro is pretty much a lefty, and he likes fox news. He does CNN also.

Thank you Kim.

I wasn't going to say anything else but I just have a few things that have been nagging at me all weekend.

First, the video I posted is a segment presenting facts. It is about Obama and his ties to the whole FannieMae mess. Facts are facts, there are no sides.

Second, I am sorry if I occasionally use video or info. from Fox news or other "Right Winged" sources. Most of what I post comes from those sources because no other media is covering those things that I think are important and should be brought to everyone's attention.

And Lastly, I think it is very interesting that the Obama supporters who commented on my blog attacked me and also attacked Sarah Palin, but said NOTHING about Obama or the facts presented in my post. NOTHING! Not one. Thing.

Things that make you go hmmmmmm.....things that make you go hmmmmm, hmmmmm, hmmmmm.......

Sara Palin sounds to me like that Miss Teen USA 2007.Miss Carolina who just talked and talked and didn't say anything or make much sense. I'm so sorry to say.
