Ahhh, Monday Morning. A brand spankin' new week all squeaky fresh and clean. That is what I thought last Monday. We were coming off 2 weeks of doing nothing (except funeral stuff and stomach virus stuff) and I was so excited that we were all feeling better and that I could actually get back to real life and actually get something accomplished. I got a lot done last Monday. I really thought it would be a great week. What did I know? Anyway I feel 10,000 times better now and I think the majority of us are over the flu slump (except Steve who is apparently a late bloomer). The kids are back in school, again. I am excited to get something done, again. I hope it lasts this time.
I went to the doctor on Friday because aside from the flu I knew I also had an ear infection. He was the rudest most arrogant person. I was so sick I could hardly hold myself in an upright position when I was there so I didn't say much to him, but I really want to go back today and give him a piece of my "ambivalent" mind. He told me probably 3 or 4 times I was ambivalent. Girl, he's just lucky I have too much to do today than to bother with his sorry booty.
While I was at the doctor I couldn't help but notice the receptionist had on this black eye shadow applied in the shape of a triangle right above the crease of her eye. It looked jack-o-lanternish. I can't tell you how tempted I was to reach across the counter and rub it in for her. I went to that office probably about a year ago and it was the same way so she is obviously doing it on purpose. Poor thing.
When Farrah said thank you for "enlightening" me on your views, what do you think the " " meant? Was she calling me stupid? FARRAH! Were you calling me stupid?
My dear sweet mother brought us dinner yesterday. Oh my! Can I just tell you how long it has been since we have eaten a real, actual meal with meat and vegetables and fruit and bread and dessert? It was last Monday actually. It was so yummy. We devoured it. DEVOURED.
The book I am reading now, A Thousand Splendid Suns, is so good. It is by the author of The Kite Runner which is also a very good book and I can't wait to see the movie. Anyway, I recommend it. Khaled Hosseini is the author and he is a magnificent story teller. MAGNIFICENT.
HAPPY MONDAY!

Ally- I am glad you are feeling better. And I didn't mean anything by that "" except that I had asked you to enlighten us previously. So I was just referring to the word I had used before.
I don't think you are stupid at all. First, how could you be, you are related to me. Second, I think you made some really good points.
i just want to say thanks for giving us the flu. Yep all four of us are down sicker than sick. Fever, chills, aching bodies, head pounding, ears ringing, etc, etc. It is taking all reserved energy i have to type this. But i am glad you are doing better. yep. i really am. how long did yours last?
I just love when you're sick and go to a doctor that's supposed make you feel "better" (I mean nothing by the " " :0). I had an OBGYN who made me feel like my morning sickness at 7 months was all in my head. He went on blah, blah, blah, I just looked a him confused. Ummmm...I am your patient right? Your making money off of me, not the other way around. I wanted to tell him to kiss my blah, blah, blah.
Farrah, ok, I believe you.
Kristy, I am sorry. I really am. I was down and out from Tues to Fri and still feeling bad sat and sun. How long have you had it? You should have got your flu shot!
Ashley, thanks for clearing up your "" usage. I was starting to get a complex.
